Stove Top Sirloin Steak Marsala is one of my kesukaane comfort foods. Come see how easy this is to make a tough steak into a delicious meal! When I was growing up, I would come home from school and the aroma was just mouth watering when that door opened. Sirloin Steak Marsala was on the stove top cooking and I could hardly wait for dinner. This was one of my all time kesukaanes mom made, and still is.
An easy Italian hearty meal mom use to make!
A one pan meal so hearty and fit for a king. Anyone that loves steak will enjoy this with any sides dishes to complete it.
We like boiled potatoes with butter and corn on the cob. You can make mashed potatoes if you like.
Just remember this is slow cook on low and takes time to get the meat tender.
Sometimes simmered for two hours. Can also be done in a slow cooker but you must saute the meat first to brown the steak on both sides.
Mom worked in a supermarket for most of my childhood. She often brought home lesser cuts of meats.
She taught me that a slow simmer would tenderize the meats.
She didn't use a slow cooker the top of stove in a cast iron pan or stainless steel pan would do the trick on getting that meat fork tender.
The slow simmer in that delicious Steak Marsala Sauce made any inexpensive cut of meat tender.
As the years past, I will always remember that trick.
I tend to saute the meat first and on busy day, throw everything in the slow cooker.
When I come home from work, viola the meal is all done for me. I just have to prepare some kind of side dishes.
Our family loves just plain white rice or boiled noodles.
Even mashed potatoes are a great side dish for this meal.
The gravy is already made for you to throw over the mashed potatoes, noodles or rice.
Just in case you're not fond of beef, try this with boneless chicken breasts, it's a fabulous meal and the chicken left in whole breasts is fork tender just like the beef when cooked.
Stove Top Sirloin Steak Marsala Pin for Later
If you really are wishing for comfort food, you just hit the jackpot! The gravy alone that this makes is just amazing over bread or mashed potatoes. I can make a whole meal with this gravy without any meat!
